Nearly one in four residents in the city of Paterson lives in poverty. Many of them are women and children.
We recognize that the problems of poverty are complex and have no single solution.
The women and children we serve face hunger, domestic violence, unemployment, and other challenges. Too often, they are isolated and lack the support of friends or family.
Oasis has a unique approach: We provide a range of wraparound services and programs that address the multiple challenges of poverty.
We respond by providing a web of interconnected programs and services to support women and children while giving them the educational opportunities they need to improve their lives.
Oasis is the only area organization providing comprehensive antipoverty programs and services in a single location.
